In addition to the re-development of its legacy oil and gas fields utilizing new exploration and development technology, Hunt is focused on the exploration and development of new unconventional resource plays. The pursuit of these resource plays is made possible by applying state of the art new exploration and development technologies such as long lateral horizontal drilling, advanced seismic techniques and multi-stage hydraulic frac technology.
Hunt Oil Company has significant land position and active programs in the Williston Basin (Bakken) of North Dakota, Eagle Ford Play of South Texas and the Marcellus play in Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Hunt also has a New Ventures Exploration team whose goal is to identify and gain early entry into new resource plays.
